Why identity politics and white nationalism is silly and does not resonate with most people

Here is a mish mash of thoughts and responses on this topic of what is the “alt-right” that I had to publish before I get lazy and do not.

What i have come to understand is that if you’re going to call something the “original alt-right” it is the troll culture of the pro-white movement, which is the pushback against the anti-white anti-male politically correct culture on the left. The “alt-right trolls” put out crazy memes and tweets and content simply created to push the buttons of the media and the social justice warriors and create a firestorm of controversy ON PURPOSE. And they promote pro-European heritage pride or whatever. It’s like I said, the identity politics of the right. So, Milo and others who have been recently associated with the “alt-right” movement is similar, but not with a pro-white message but an overall anti-PC message and a pro-America message. The mistake these...

Stop indicting all men with sex drives as sexists and rapists.

What if what people name-call “rape-culture” is actually just “hook up culture?” Not a positive thing, but not as damning toward one pretty large portion of our society: men with sex drives. Hook-up culture harms both boys and girls. Rape culture implies mainly women are the victims of this lack of morality and lack of wisdom regarding sexual relationships on college campuses and in American society in general. I want to argue that there is a difference between acts of rape and the culture of promiscuity among both men and women. And that people need to settle down with the “encouraging rape culture” accusation.

Let me explain why the term “rape culture” is not helpful or reasonable.

The free love sexual revolution culture the socially liberal left has created over the past 6 decades through the hyper-sexualized perpetual adolescent media and pop culture has created young men...

Loathe yourself, they say.

I’m tired of being told I should loath my identity: my white identity, my female identity, my Christian conservative identity, my American identity, the identity of cisgender males, and my human identity.. all in the name of being sorry for all the ills of other peoples, other nations and the entire planet. I’m tired of the deranged and false concept that I owe my existence on this planet to the abuse and misery of minorities, 3rd world countries, and the planet’s excess carbon. No one should feel the 2nd hand residual blame for other people’s misfortune. If anything, why not encourage a white Christian American female with the fact that many people like me in the past and the present have given much for the betterment of our world’s poor and oppressed. No one people group deserves the majority of the blame for the darkness that exists in the world. We all share the blame and the...

Seeing the Globalization of Darkness

I don’t know if we are meant to comprehend global violence. When everything appears as darkness, we can’t really visualize, let alone understand the violence. It’s like trying to understand what appears to be thousands of billion-year-old stars dying in multiple galaxies. And we tend to highlight one violent death over another based on location, skin color, religion, or political ideology.

In light of incomprehensible darkness, what does God tell us to do? Put Paris flag colors over our Facebook pictures? “Pray for Paris.”? “Stand with Paris.”?

Yes, of course, as Western allies, we do and will. But what about the people on a remote mountain experiencing terrorism? Why do I need to remind myself to “pray for” or “stand with” Paris, but not necessarily for the innocent people who happen to live in Syria or another country worse off than Paris, because they have no one to “stand...

Transgenderism is certainly about sexuality

Warning: I will now say some controversial things based on my limited knowledge and very biased point of view on transgenderism ….yet I will still say what I feel is true based on the little that I have read and “know.” I’m seeing people on comment threads say that transgenderism isn’t about sexuality, that it’s about “gender identity.” As if saying this makes it more socially acceptable to push forward with the progress of what “Caitlyn” Jenner says is the “new normal.” I’m sorry, but I do not believe I or anyone can separate their femininity from sexuality. Some studies that I have read that are proving that transgenderism is a real thing, in men in particular, say that many of the men who feel they are a “woman trapped in a man’s body” are physiologically aroused by the idea of dressing like a woman, i.e. sexually aroused by the idea of having a female body. That...

Why am I crying this much?

It’s not like he was my best friend.
He didn’t give me presents and money.
He didn’t shower me with compliments.
His greatest encouragement was “don’t stop just because you have a side stitch.”

So, why do we all love this man genuinely so much?

He made us run up and down Fort Myers Beach Bridge in the dark on Saturday mornings.
He made us start that 200 meter repeat workout over again more than once.
He made you run that 2nd “all-out” around the track at the end of that 10 x 400 meter workout with 60 seconds rest in between! And then he told you to do some push-ups.
He made you run 5 miles at 2pm in August in Estero, FL after you had eaten a public high school lunch which consisted of french fries, a cinnamon roll and some powerade (this was the year 2000 for me).

The truth is, he didn’t “make” us do any of it.
He really just “suggested” it,
and we each responded.

The truth is...

Value the common things

People seem to value only rare things. Pluck a weed, kill an ant or a thousand in a pile…abort a child in the womb… No big deal. We have our reasons.

But to find life outside our solar system - just a microbe of algae…

Oh precious! let us keep and coddle it as though our discovery of it needs, all of a sudden, our help to thrive. Same with species on earth labeled “endangered.”

While I see the value in rare things as well…I think people need to value the common things more than the rare…

for if the common are ignored, they too will become as rare to us and difficult to find as that life on a distant planet.

On a specifically personal note, value the “common” moments in your life so that your heart will have its fill and treasure up all of these steadily coming, yet surely passing moments, of “Mommy!” and “Play with me!”

Your money in your checking account, your food if...

Sexual Identity does not determine who you marry

I was born a heterosexual female. In my experience, this means I was born a silly girl unable to control my attractions to many silly boys over my young life from kindergarten until I was 27. Then, one day, I met someone named Justin Brown. I did not feel the same thing as that puppy love “uncontrollable” attraction I felt in my youth with everyone else I genuinely thought I “loved” (even believing with all my heart I loved those guys with an unconditional Christian love…(truth is: I didn’t)). I did feel attraction, just not something I would call “uncontrollable” or something I was “born with”. This person seemed worth an investment of a love beyond just my sex/attraction/emotions/needs/wants/etc.. So, I got married. Now I choose every day to be a “Justin-sexual,” if you will. badjoke Here is my point: If I based my identity and lifestyle choices on being a heterosexual...

Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy theories are just the result of people hoping they can explain, humanize and scapegoat bad things that happen…hoping they can create a Utopia while still dwelling on this earth. The truth and reality is: Evil and fear are at work in the world and in the hearts of men/women of all institutions, races, religions, etc.; not just the government vs. the anarchists vs. the pacifists vs. science vs. faith vs. the left vs. the right, etc. There aren’t as many conspiracies as you hope, just plenty of people making bad decisions in different groups, and other people trying to figure out the best course of action based on limited knowledge and limited understanding and a limited ability to cooperate with others. The one thing we can do is, without worrying about conspiracies, seek to be the change we wish to see in the world through Peace and Faith…not fear mongering and scapegoating. We...

Don’t ask me if I’m against …

Ask me what I’m for

I’m for Trusting God.
I’m for women and I’m for life.
I’m for knowing that my identity in Christ is even more unique than my opinion, my sexual identity, my personality or my fashion choices.
I’m for successful marriages that are founded in God’s Word.
I’m for the hope found in a child’s smile.
I’m for the power of the human body to heal itself.
I’m for choosing God’s ways above my own.
I’m for choosing joy in the midst of sorrow.
I’m for finding grace in the midst of suffering.
I’m for transformation in the Love of Christ.
I’m for training a child with solid goals, sure direction, steadfast patience and unconditional love.
I’m for following those who are fruitful in the things I want to be fruitful in.
I’m for minimalism and frequently de-cluttering my home, my mind and my heart.
I’m for keeping my home clean with good habits that make it easier than living in chaos...
